1. What this policy covers
This policy explains which cookies and similar technologies SpainTrades uses on spaintrades.es, what each is for, how long it lasts, and how you can accept, reject, change or withdraw your choice.
A cookie is a small text file a website stores in your browser. We also use two similar browser storage areas: local storage, which stays until it is deleted, and session storage, which is cleared when you close the tab. Where this policy says “cookies” it includes them, and the tables say which is which.
2. Who is responsible

3. What we store without asking you
These are needed for the site to work or to remember something you asked for, so they are set without your consent.

4. Analytics — only if you accept
We want to understand how the site is used so we can improve it. This uses Microsoft Clarity. It starts only after you press Accept. Before that, the Clarity script is not loaded and none of the cookies below exist.
Microsoft Clarity records how visitors use pages — clicks, scrolling, mouse movement and page views — as session recordings and heatmaps, using a random identifier. This is pseudonymous data, not anonymous data. Microsoft states that text typed into input boxes is masked in all modes. This is not a guarantee that nothing you type is recorded, so avoid entering sensitive details into forms while analytics is on. Microsoft describes Clarity as operating as a data controller and explains its use in its privacy statement. For customers in the European Economic Area, Microsoft Ireland Operations Limited is the contracting company, and data may be transferred to Microsoft Corporation in the United States under standard contractual clauses. Microsoft states that session recordings are kept for 30 days (up to 9 months if favourited or sampled) and heatmaps for up to 9 months.
When you accept, we tell Clarity that you consent to analytics only: we do not give consent for advertising. Microsoft does not state which of the cookies below it leaves out in that case, so the table lists every cookie Microsoft documents for Clarity.

Google Analytics 4. The site contains a Google Analytics 4 component (cookies _ga and _ga_42HT64H1TQ, 2 years). It is not currently active: our security settings do not allow the Google script to load, so no Google Analytics cookie is set and no data is sent to Google. If we enable it, it will start only after you accept, and we will update this policy first.
Cookies we cannot delete. Cookies marked “Microsoft” without “(on spaintrades.es)” belong to Microsoft’s own domains. SpainTrades cannot read or delete them. If you want them removed, delete them in your browser or contact Microsoft.
5. Your choices
- Accept or reject. When you first visit, a notice offers Accept and Reject with equal prominence. Scrolling or continuing to browse is not consent.
- Your choice is remembered on this browser. We ask again after 24 months, or sooner if the tools we use change.
- Change or withdraw it at any time with Cookie preferences in the footer of every page, or the button below. Choosing Reject there denies Clarity analytics storage, deletes the analytics cookies this site can reach, and stops Clarity loading on later pages. The current page is reloaded so that Clarity is not loaded again. If the page holds input you have not saved, it is not reloaded, and Microsoft’s limited mode (see below) continues on that page until you leave it.
- What withdrawing does, and what it does not. Microsoft states that once consent is denied, Clarity sets no cookies and gives each page view a new random identifier, so your visits are no longer linked together. Until you leave a page that was already open, Clarity may keep sending that limited, cookie-free data. Withdrawing does not delete data already collected. To ask about data we hold, write to hello@spaintrades.es; for data held by Microsoft, use its privacy tools.
- Other open tabs. A choice changed in one tab takes effect in the others straight away. Tabs with no unsaved input reload; the rest keep the new choice until you leave them.
- Your browser can also block or delete cookies: Chrome, Firefox, Safari. Blocking the necessary cookies may stop sign-in from working.
6. What we do not use
SpainTrades does not set advertising or social-media cookies, and does not sell your personal data. Payments run on Stripe’s own pages after you leave our site; Stripe’s cookie policy applies there and we set no Stripe cookies on spaintrades.es. Microsoft describes its MUID cookie as also used for its own purposes, including advertising (see section 4).
7. Changes
We will update this policy if the cookies or tools change, and change the date at the top. If a change needs your consent, we will ask again.
