What is SpainTrades?
SpainTrades is a bilingual directory that connects homeowners with local tradespeople, including English-speaking businesses, in Málaga province and on the Costa del Sol. Every profile appears in English and Spanish, and messages in the app are translated both ways.
Is SpainTrades free for homeowners?
Yes. Searching, viewing profiles and asking for quotes are all free. You can browse without an account. Asking for a quote needs a free account, and you can ask as many businesses as you like.
How do I find an English-speaking tradesperson on the Costa del Sol?
Search by trade and town, then use the English spoken filter to see businesses that speak English. Not every business does, but you can still write to them in English: messages in the app are translated both ways. WhatsApp chats are not translated.
Are the tradespeople on SpainTrades verified?
Not all of them. A person reviews every profile before it goes live, but verification is a separate, optional step. A Verified badge appears only once we have checked that business's documents, and each profile shows whether it has one.
Which areas does SpainTrades cover?
SpainTrades covers Málaga province and the Costa del Sol, including Marbella, Fuengirola, Estepona, Mijas, Benalmádena, Nerja. Sotogrande, in Cádiz province, is also included.
How much does it cost to list a trade business?
The first three months are free, with no card needed. After that, plans are €20, €40 or €60 a month before IVA, with no commission on any job. You can cancel at any time.
